Norman Rockwell's Studio Outside View Postcard
Standard size postcard measures 4" inches by 6" printed on heavy weight card stock.
Norman Rockwell occupied some 20 studios during his career, but it was the last one that he called his "best studio yet". Originally located in the backyard of his home on South Street in Stockbridge, the Norman Rockwell Museum relocated the building to its current location in 1986. The Museum's interpretation replicates how the studio appeared in October of 1960, when Norman Rockwell was immersed in the completion of his painting The Golden Rule, the April 1, 1961 Saturday Evening Post cover. This installatio provides insights into Rockwell's intensive working process, his artistic inspirations, and a typical day in the life of his studio during a time when he was actively using it.
